The Foundation for Sustainable Care (formerly known as the GCC Foundation) is pleased to introduce Brian Boone as its new Executive Director! The Foundation Board of Directors enthusiastically selected Boone after a recent search led by board member Cathy Foley and a search team comprised of current board members.
“We believe God answered our prayers in this whole transition process and we are thrilled to have Brian stepping into the role of Executive Director of the Foundation for Sustainable Care,” said Greg Guevara, Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Boone is a life-long Hamilton County resident who has served the Central Indiana church and nonprofit community for most of his career and has held several key leadership roles throughout the community. He was the senior pastor of Faith Church from 1994-2003, which happens to be the church that planted Grace Church in 1991. Boone served as CEO of Life Centers, a network of pregnancy resource centers in Indiana, from 2007-2012. He has also held several pastoral roles and development/fundraising positions during his career.
“Brian brings a combination of passion for sustainable care, proven leadership, connectivity to the community, and a wealth of fundraising experience,” Guevara commented. “He leads with a pastor’s heart, and we are excited to have Brian lead us in continuing to expand and support the Grace Care Center’s programs to our community.”
In stepping into this role, Boone said, “I’m so grateful for the Lord’s call to serve with the Foundation for Sustainable Care by advancing the ministry and mission of the Grace Care Center.”
Boone takes over the Executive Director role from Keith Carlson, who has served in that role since July 2019. Carlson is following God’s call to start a new ministry, but he will remain an active member of the Foundation Board of Directors and is firmly committed to the mission of the Foundation and the Grace Care Center.
“As we look ahead to 2022 and beyond, we are filled with hope,” Guevara stated. “Not only do we have a new Executive Director, but we have a new name and a new website to better tell the story of our mission.” The Foundation for Sustainable Care will continue to support the important work of the Grace Care Center and tell the stories of life change and impact through the Grace Care Center so that others can learn of this work and be invited to participate. This year the Grace Care Center will launch the Mobile Food Pantry in May and celebrate its tenth-year anniversary in July.
